The country has raised its drive for the coronavirus vaccine. Now, you can assume coronavirus vaccine for kids by September says Dr. Randeep Guleria, director of Delhi AIIMS. He is a significant member of the government task force on coronavirus, said that the data of Covaxin for kids after finishing the 2/3 trials will be available by September. Guleria said that the approval will also be expected in the same month.
Providing further details, he said that if the vaccine named Pfizer-BioNTech gets approval in India. Then, it can be a great option for children. Delhi AIIMS has begun screening kids for the trials from June 7 and has involved kids between the age of two to seventeen.
On May 12, DCGI approved Bharat Biotech to bring out the Phase 2 and 3 covaxin trials on kids as young as 2.
Talking about the schools reopening for children, Dr. Randeep Guleria said that the officials should look at opening up schools in a method that will protect them from becoming super spreaders. He also added that a holistic proposal has been in this matter.
He said that how the classroom can be reopened in non-containment zones, and on an alternate day calling kids to school. Dr. Guleria suggested that open-air schooling will be a great method to avoid infection spread via the climate of India may not allow it.

The COVID-19 SEC (Subject Expert Committee) of the CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organization) on Tuesday reviewed and accept the data. As per the reports, their advice has been sent to DCGI.
